You are probably aware by now of the closure of a puppy farm in Myshall, Carlow. As usual, it is the rescues who are left to deal with the fallout of these callous breeders. ISPCA already have their own dogs in private kennels to make room for this huge amount of dogs. Several of our volunteers are travelling there this morning to pick up around 20 dogs/puppies. We are already stretched but cannot leave these dogs in this condition. We are appealing to the public: Have you any old towels, blankets we can use for bedding? Are you able to donate puppy food? Either of these can be left into Vetcare, Portlaoise or our Charity Shop in Hynds’ Square. If you can help us with the cost of rehabilitating and treating these poor animals, you can donate on line through our website (see link below) or donate by texting ‘LSPCA’ to 50300. More information on our donate page.
